THE ALLEY OF INTENT

A star does without
A sun discharges lamps at night
flamboyants
board the roof of the corner home

there are black legumes, & seeds,
blue dawn
red fronds of venus
on the fence,

from the stone, a bush startles, tall,
like a shade
a dog in passing chews a bone
carnations smell a lot
