I get this much space fortified at long last by attorneys
who pen the sidewalks from a sandy boat
(that’s their minds!)
the sand lacerated as
ballooning in and out of the daily walk
is either rising up by oily engine
or plain muttering to oneself in several intonations
fabric gathers, becomes hesitant
—weak—
that’s installing the idiot
in a man otherwise seen as humble
